It astounds me that this is the 6th, both in terms of the fact that it doesn’t seem enough but also seems too many! At the end of a busy week we’ve sat down to do this week’a Double Double. What better way to get an insight into each other’s weeks than to spend 10 minutes with each other talking about the Double Double, done by us both!
Two things you’ve done this week?
JK: I had a lovely day out at the Tate Britain on Friday, and had the joy of seeing the school play on Thursday, where my students put on “School of Rock” which was amazing!
THB: Started a new job in beautiful Holland Park, and played a great show at the O2 academy Islington.
Two things that were great this week?
JK: Brian Cox and Robin Ince’s Christmas Compendium of Reason, which was as good as ever, mind blowing and hilarious with such an amazing range of guests; and spending Sunday in East London on a date day where we managed to feel like we were in New York!
THB: Our East London date day feeling like we were in New York, and playing a great show!
Two challenges you faced?
JK: Realising I can’t hack late nights so therefore I don’t get the chance to see as many pals as I would like, and slowly realising I am not special and there’s no way I can make 36 hours fit into 24 each day.
THB: Trying to source getting a piano repaired 10 minutes before doors opened at our show. Time management!
Two things to add to your to-do list next week?
JK: Finish our itinerary for our holiday in January and see if I can get some more cat friendly Christmas decorations for our flat.
THB: Run more, arrange and rehearse a new acoustic set.
